VAO exam result 2026 out: KEA's RPC provisional scores, the 22 October objection deadline, and the KK exam on 25 October
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) published provisional scores for the Village Administrative Officer (VAO) exam, Residual Parent Cadre (RPC), on Monday, 19 October 2026. You can object to your score until 10 AM on Thursday, 22 October, but only with documents. Kalyana Karnataka (KK) candidates haven't written their exam yet. Theirs is on 25 October and the admit cards are out.
TL;DRThe short version
- RPC scores are out: KEA posted the provisional result for the VAO exam (Residual Parent Cadre, 505 posts) on Monday, 19 October 2026. The exam was held on 4 October, and the scores are based on the revised key of 16 October. Log in with your application number and date of birth.
- Object by 10:00 AM, Thursday 22 October: objections to your score go through KEA's separate objection link. KEA says objections without supporting documents, or objections to key answers, won't be considered at this stage.
- Kalyana Karnataka (KK, 67 posts) candidates: your exam is on Sunday, 25 October. KEA's homepage put up the KK admit card link on 18 October and the bell timings on 19 October. This result is for RPC only.
- Check your VAO RPC provisional score on KEA's result page: kearecruitment.karnataka.gov.in · VAO 2026 (RPC) resultOpened on 20 Oct at about 10:45 AM IST: 'Candidate Result Declaration - Village Administrator Officer 2026 (RPC Posts)'. The objection link and the KK admit card are on KEA's homepage, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/indexnew. KEA's servers dropped some of our connections, so if the page won't load, try again later.

Short answer: the VAO exam result 2026 is out for the Residual Parent Cadre (RPC) only. On Monday, 19 October 2026, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) published provisional scores for the 4 October exam, worked out from the revised key of 16 October. If your score looks wrong, you have until 10:00 AM on Thursday, 22 October to object, and the objection needs documents to back it up. If you applied in the Kalyana Karnataka (KK) cadre, there's no result for you yet. Your exam is on 25 October.
How to check your VAO RPC score
- Open KEA's VAO 2026 (RPC) result page. You can also go to KEA's homepage, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/indexnew, and click "VAO-RPC - ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶದ ಲಿಂಕ್ - 19-10-2026" (VAO-RPC provisional result link).
- Enter your application number and date of birth, then submit (Karnataka Help, Vishwavani).
- Note your Paper 1 and Paper 2 marks and check your name and category. Save a screenshot or PDF.
- Read the result notice posted the same day ("VAO-RPC - ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆ"). It sets out the objection rules.
KEA's servers were slow from our side on Tuesday morning. Some connections dropped and others loaded. Try again off-peak rather than trusting "direct links" shared on Telegram. Your score counts only if it's on KEA's own site.
Should you object? Only with proof
The objection link is the second VAO notice on KEA's homepage, "VAO-RPC - ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶದ ಕುರಿತು ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಲಿಂಕ್". It closes at 10:00 AM on 22 October. Under KEA's notice, as reported by Vishwavani, Karnataka Help and Hosamahiti:
- objections must come with supporting documents, or they won't be considered;
- objections to key answers won't be considered at this stage. The window for those closed on 8 October, and the revised key came out on 16 October.
So this round is for score errors, not answer disputes. Examples are marks that don't match your own count against the revised key, a wrong category, or details that don't match your application. Jagran Josh says the form takes your register number, name, exam date and paper, and allows up to five attached files. Keep your OMR-based count, the revised key PDF and your application printout ready. File by Wednesday evening if you can. A 10 AM deadline on a slow government site is easy to miss.
Kalyana Karnataka candidates: your exam is on 25 October
The KK exam (67 posts) is a separate exam, and it hasn't happened yet:
- Admit card: KEA's homepage lists "VAO - KK - ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪತ್ರ ಡೌನ್ಲೋಡ್ ಲಿಂಕ್ - 18-10-2026". Jagran Josh reported it on 19 October. Download it from KEA's admission ticket page: pick the exam, then enter your application number or enrolment ID and the first four letters of your name, exactly as on your application. KEA put up KK admit cards for other exams the same day too, including land surveyor and residential school teacher posts. That probably explains part of the jump in searches for "kea admit card 2026".
- Bell timings: posted on 19 October ("VAO-KK-2026 ಗಾಗಿ ಗಂಟೆ ಸಮಯಗಳು"). Go by the reporting time on your own admit card and in that notice, not a third-party table.
- Exam day: carry a printed admit card and an original photo ID. Jagran Josh lists Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID, passport or driving licence. Phones, watches and calculators aren't allowed.
The pattern is the same as RPC: two OMR papers of 100 marks each, Paper 1 on general knowledge and Paper 2 on Kannada, English and computer knowledge, with 0.25 negative marking (Jagran Josh).
What happens after 22 October
KEA hasn't published dates for the next steps. Going by how it has handled this drive so far, expect it to review the objections, publish an updated list, and then call candidates for document verification. TOI suggests getting these ready now: your SSLC certificate (proof of date of birth), education certificates and mark sheets, ID proof, caste or reservation certificates if they apply, and your application form. A caste or income certificate that needs re-issuing takes the longest, so start with that.
01
Myth The provisional score means you're selected.
Fact No. It's a provisional score list. KEA will look at the objections and then publish the next list. Document verification comes after that, and no dates have been announced.
02
Myth You can still challenge a key answer.
Fact Not now. The window for key-answer objections closed on 8 October. The revised key came out on 16 October. KEA's 19 October notice says objections to key answers won't be considered at this stage.
03
Myth KK candidates' results are out too.
Fact No. The 19 October result covers RPC posts only. The Kalyana Karnataka exam is on 25 October.
04
Myth The VAO exam was held on 4 and 25 October.
Fact Partly. 4 October was the RPC exam and 25 October is the KK exam. They're separate exams for separate cadres, and only the RPC scores are out.
Our read
KEA moved fast. It went from exam to revised key to scores in 15 days, and it has kept the RPC and KK cadres on separate tracks. That's why some news reports wrongly say the exam was "held on 4 and 25 October". For RPC candidates, only one deadline matters this week: 10 AM on Thursday. If your marks match your own count against the revised key, you don't need to do anything. If they don't, file an objection with documents. An objection without documents won't be considered.
