Lecturer cadre recruitment Punjab 2026 result out for 7 subjects: how to check, what's pending, and what happens next
The Education Recruitment Directorate (ERD), Punjab, put up the written-exam results for its 2026 Lecturer Cadre recruitment on Monday evening, 19 October, as subject-wise PDFs. Seven of the twelve subjects are out. Physics, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics and Geography are not on the result page yet. Here's how to find your roll number, the numbers behind the drive, and what to do before document verification.
TL;DRThe short version
- Result is out, but only for 7 subjects: ERD Punjab's Lecturer Cadre result page lists PDFs for Biology, English, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Political Science and Punjabi. They went up on the evening of Monday, 19 October 2026 (TOI, Jagran Josh; Testbook's live log has the first PDFs at about 7:30 PM IST). Physics, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics and Geography were not listed when we checked at about 9:45 AM IST on 20 October.
- How to check: open your subject's PDF and search for your roll number (Ctrl + F). No login is needed for the list. Match your name, father's name and category against your admit card.
- This is the written test, not final selection. The drive is for 1,013 lecturer posts (829 fresh + 184 backlog, per TOI and Jagran Josh; Testbook reports 1,067). Document verification dates and official cut-offs have not been announced yet.
- Open your subject's result PDF on ERD Punjab's Lecturer Cadre result page: erd.punjab.gov.in · result_lecturercadreERD's site did not load from our server (connection dropped) at about 9:45 AM IST on 20 Oct, but a page fetch through a second network showed the seven subject links. If it's slow, try again rather than using a PDF from an unofficial site.

Short answer: the lecturer cadre recruitment Punjab 2026 written-exam result is out, but not for everyone yet. The Education Recruitment Directorate (ERD), Punjab, has posted separate result PDFs for seven of the twelve subjects: Biology, English, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Political Science and Punjabi. They went up on the evening of Monday, 19 October 2026. If you wrote the Physics, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics or Geography paper, your result is not on the page yet.
How to check your Punjab lecturer result
- Open ERD's Results of Lecturer Cadre Examination page.
- Click "Result of Lecturer Cadre (your subject) Examination - 2026". It opens a PDF.
- Press Ctrl + F (or "Find in page" on your phone) and type your roll number. Testbook notes no login is needed to open the list.
- Check your name, father's name and category against your admit card. Jagran Josh says the lists carry these along with written-exam marks. Report any mismatch to ERD quickly, through the contact route on its site.
- Save the PDF and keep a printout. You'll want it at document verification.
ERD's website dropped the connection from our server at about 9:45 AM IST on 20 October, though a fetch through a second network showed all seven links. Government result sites often slow down right after a result. Try off-peak, and don't trust "direct PDF" copies passed around on WhatsApp or Telegram: only the file on erd.punjab.gov.in counts.

The twelve subjects come from ERD's own fresh posts list for this recruitment. ERD hasn't said when the remaining five will follow. We'll add them here when they appear.
The numbers behind this drive
- Posts: TOI and Jagran Josh both put the drive at 1,013 lecturer posts, which Jagran Josh splits into 829 fresh and 184 backlog. Testbook gives a higher 1,067 (883 regular + 184 backlog). The backlog figure matches; the fresh count doesn't. We couldn't open ERD's notification from our server to settle it, so treat the total as reported.
- Exam: a 150-question, 150-mark objective paper in your subject, held on 19, 20, 26 and 27 September 2026 (Testbook). The provisional answer key came out on 1 October (TOI).
- Pay: ₹35,400 a month, fixed, during a three-year probation (Jagran Josh).
What happens after the result
ERD has not published dates for the next stages yet. Based on the reports, this is the order to expect:
- Two roll numbers? If you were issued two roll numbers, Jagran Josh says the notification asks you to tell ERD your preferred category within 15 days of the result. TOI makes the same point but advises checking the deadline in the official notice. Count 15 days from 19 October to be safe, and don't miss it.
- Document verification: shortlisted candidates will be called with originals and self-attested copies. Testbook lists ID proof, Class 10 certificate (with proof of Punjabi), graduation and master's mark sheets, B.Ed., Punjab residence certificate and category certificate (SC/BC/EWS/PH) where it applies. Get these in one folder now. Certificates that need re-issue, like a fresh category certificate, take the longest.
- Cut-offs and final list: official subject-wise cut-offs and the final selection list come after verification. Any "cut-off" you see today is an estimate, not ERD's.
01
Myth If your roll number is in the PDF, you're selected.
Fact No. The PDFs are the written-exam result. Selection comes only after document verification and the final list, which ERD hasn't scheduled yet.
02
Myth The cut-off marks are already out.
Fact Not officially. Figures doing the rounds are 'expected' cut-offs from coaching and news sites. Jagran Josh says the official cut-off will come with the final result.
03
Myth Your subject's result was skipped.
Fact Five subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Geography) are simply not on the result page yet. ERD hasn't given a date for them.
Our read
Each subject in this drive is its own merit list, so ERD can release them one at a time, and it has done exactly that. If you're in one of the seven, start on documents now: the 15-day two-roll-number window is the one deadline that's already running. If you're in one of the pending five, there is nothing to do yet except watch the result page.
