E Editorial policy & corrections
Clearly and correctly, in that order.
Speed matters to us, but never more than accuracy.
Sourcing
- Every number, date and rule must trace back to a source we link at the end of the story. We prefer primary sources: government notifications and FAQs, regulators such as RBI, NPCI and SEBI, official brand, studio or ticketing pages, and court orders.
- We say clearly what is confirmed, what is reported by other outlets, and what is rumoured. When something is unconfirmed, the story says so.
- We do not invent quotes, statistics or sources.
- Search-growth figures come from Google Trends and are labelled as such. They show relative growth, not the number of searches.
What we won't publish
Piracy or leak links, betting and casino promotion, explicit or morphed images and video, unverified allegations about crimes or deaths, and medical or investment advice we cannot source.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools to help with research, outlines and summaries. A human editor checks every fact against its source and edits every story before it is published. Nothing is published unedited.
Headlines and updates
Headlines must be supported by the story; no clickbait. Developing stories carry an "Updated" time in IST, and we add new facts as they are confirmed.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and openly. Corrections are noted at the end of the story with the date and what changed. Minor fixes such as typos may be made without a note.
To report an error, email contact@arsachdeva.com with the story link and what you think is wrong. We aim to respond within one working day.
Independence
When we start carrying ads, affiliate links or sponsored tools, they will be clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial decisions.
