Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro price drops to ₹17,399 on Amazon: the ₹999 lookalikes to avoid, and who should buy

Searches for the Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro broke out this weekend. The genuine pair is ₹17,399 on Amazon today, ₹5,600 under Samsung's own store. The same Amazon search also turns up ₹999 'Earbuds for Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro' listings that aren't made by Samsung. Here's how to tell them apart, what four reviewers found after living with the real thing, and my verdict.

TL;DRThe short version

  • Price (Amazon, checked ~2:45 PM IST, 19 Oct): the genuine Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro is ₹17,399 in Black and White, sold by Clicktech Retail. Samsung's own store lists it at ₹22,999, its February launch price. Amazon's "42% off" is worked out from a ₹29,999 MRP; against the launch price the saving is ₹5,600 (24%).
  • Watch for lookalikes: the same Amazon search shows listings titled "Earbuds for Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro (Black)…" at ₹999–₹1,949. The one we opened names its brand as "shopsticckly", its model as "SMNG BUSDS SET7920" and its warranty as a "15 days return policy". It isn't a Samsung product. The real one is Samsung's model SM-R640, made in Vietnam, with a 1-year Samsung warranty.
  • Who it's for: owners of Samsung Galaxy phones. The four reviewers we read praise its sound and fit. Its weak spots are battery life (6 hours with ANC, against 8 hours on the AirPods Pro 3 and Sony WF-1000XM6) and a case with no water-resistance rating. On an iPhone or another Android brand you lose most of what you're paying for.
  • Use the listing checker below, then buy only the listing sold by Samsung or Amazon's own seller, and check the price on the day: amazon.in › Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro (Black)The White version (B0GMJ4S7RY) was the same ₹17,399 at the time of checking. Prices move daily in the festive season.

Short answer: if you own a Samsung Galaxy phone and want premium earbuds, ₹17,399 is the best price the genuine Galaxy Buds4 Pro has had in India so far. It's ₹5,600 below the launch price, and the older Buds3 Pro is only ₹1,455 cheaper. Buy only the listing sold by Samsung or Amazon's own seller. Anything under about ₹15,000 that calls itself a "Galaxy Buds4 Pro" is something else. If you use an iPhone or a non-Samsung Android phone, skip these.

Prices, sellers and ratings were checked on Amazon.in and Samsung India's store between about 2:40 and 2:50 PM IST on 19 October 2026. Amazon links here are affiliate links (disclosed at the bottom). We didn't lab-test these earbuds.

Galaxy Buds4 Pro price today, and what "42% off" really means

Where Price (19 Oct, ~2:45 PM IST) Note
Amazon, Black ₹17,399 Sold by Clicktech Retail; MRP shown ₹29,999; 4.3★ (639)
Amazon, White ₹17,399 Same listing family, same rating
Samsung India store ₹22,999 Launch price; MRP shown ₹29,999; Black showed out of stock
Launch (26 Feb 2026) ₹22,999 All three colours (Samsung Newsroom India)

Three things to know before you pay:

  • The discount is against a ₹29,999 MRP nobody charges. Samsung launched the Buds4 Pro at ₹22,999 and still sells it at that price on its own store. Your real saving at ₹17,399 is ₹5,600, or 24%, not 42%. That's still a big cut.
  • Card offers come on top, but read the terms. The Amazon listing advertised "up to ₹3,000" off on SBI credit and debit cards and up to ₹521 Amazon Pay balance cashback with the Amazon Pay ICICI credit card. "Up to" means the amount depends on the card, the cart value and the offer's terms, so check the final figure at checkout before you assume a ₹14,399 price.
  • No-cost EMI started at ₹5,800 a month for 3 months. Amazon says the bank's interest is given back to you as an upfront discount, so check the processing fee too.

The ₹999 "Galaxy Buds4 Pro" listings: what they are

Search Amazon for "samsung galaxy buds4 pro" and, a few rows below the genuine pair, you get listings whose titles copy Samsung's own almost word for word, but start with "Earbuds for". On 19 October we saw several at ₹999 and one at ₹1,949, with made-up MRPs as high as ₹99,900 and ₹1,94,900 on the search page. We opened one:

Genuine Samsung listing ₹999 lookalike we opened
Title starts "Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro (Black)…" "Earbuds for Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro (Black)…"
Brand on listing Samsung (links to the Samsung store) "shopsticckly"
Model Galaxy Buds4 Pro (Samsung's code SM-R640) "SMNG BUSDS SET7920"
Country of origin Vietnam (Samsung Electronics Vietnam) India
Warranty 1 year Samsung warranty on the device, 6 months on accessories "15 days return policy"
Seller Clicktech Retail Private Ltd S. R. Trader
Ratings 4.3★ from 639 ratings None

Nothing we saw suggests these are Samsung products, and they're priced at about a seventeenth of the real thing. The same pattern turns up for other premium earbuds: an Amazon search for "airpods pro 3" on Monday surfaced an "iPhone Headphones (3 Pro Generation)" listing at ₹5,999. We aren't linking to any of these listings.

What four reviewers found

We read the transcripts of four YouTube reviews: a launch review, a six-month review, an Indian comparison with the AirPods Pro 3 and a head-to-head with the Buds3 Pro.

Marques Brownlee, "Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro Review: Better than AirPods!": his headline verdict is that they're "better than AirPods Pros". He found the noise cancellation at its strongest "easily as strong as AirPods Pro" and possibly a bit stronger, and the ambient mode just short of AirPods' transparency mode. They stayed in his ears with the default tips. He liked the squared-off stems for pinch-and-swipe controls. His complaints: five ANC levels where two would do, mics that are "nothing special", and a case that isn't water-resistant. He paired them with an iPhone too. They work as plain Bluetooth earbuds, without Samsung's EQ and app features. His conclusion: "if you are on an Android phone… these are the ones to beat."

6 Months Later, "Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro Review - 6 Months Later": after six months the sound still impressed, with a punchy, mid-forward tuning and a tight bass. But he rated the ANC "good, but not the best" in this price range. Around the house and in a crowded airport lounge, the Buds4 Pro let in more noise and chatter than his AirPods Pro 3 or Sony WF-1000XM6, though they matched them on aircraft cabin noise. He noticed a faint hiss with ANC on and no music playing. Two problems came up during his six months: the hands-free "Hey Google" wake word kept stopping until he re-paired them, and once the case stopped charging and blinked red until he cleaned the contacts properly. His biggest complaint was battery life: 6 hours with ANC, less in high-res mode, against 8 hours on the AirPods Pro 3, Sony WF-1000XM6 and Pixel Buds Pro 2. On some workdays they didn't last. He recommends them for Galaxy owners. Everyone else, he says, should look at the Pixel Buds Pro 2 or the Sony first.

Trakin Tech English, "Galaxy Buds 4 Pro Review & Comparison vs AirPods Pro 3": tested with a Galaxy S26 Ultra, they preferred the Buds4 Pro's sound to the AirPods Pro 3's: faster bass, more detail, better staging and treble, especially after a small custom EQ tweak. The AirPods Pro 3 came out slightly ahead on ANC against voices, on mic quality (the Buds' aggressive noise suppression made the presenter's voice sound less natural) and on battery life in the ear. They found the Buds4 Pro more comfortable in long sessions and the case magnets weak. For non-Samsung Android phones, where you only get SBC or AAC, they suggest buds with LDAC support instead, such as the OnePlus Buds Pro 3. At launch they noted the price was "about 23,000 rupees" with no discounts, and predicted it would become "a great, great deal" once it fell. At ₹17,399, it has.

Mike O'Brien, "Galaxy Buds4 Pro vs Galaxy Buds3 Pro - Hidden Differences": he found the Buds4 Pro sounded better than the Buds3 Pro, with better instrument separation and a less harsh top end. He measured about 1–2 dB more noise cancellation on low-frequency sounds like buses, jets and traffic, and called that meaningful but "not extremely noticeable". Calls get super-wideband 16 kHz audio against 8 kHz, and Bluetooth goes from 5.4 to 6.1. He also points out that Samsung pushed most new software features back to the Buds3 Pro, and that neither pair has true multipoint. His rule: buy the older pair only if it's much cheaper.

What the four agree on: the Buds4 Pro is a sound-first, Samsung-first pair. Its ANC is close to the best, and its weak spots are battery life and a case with no water-resistance rating.

Before you order

  • Check the brand line and seller, not just the title and photos. The genuine listing says "Visit the Samsung Store" and is sold by Clicktech Retail (or Samsung). Lookalikes put the Samsung name after "Earbuds for".
  • Check the warranty field. Samsung's is 1 year on the earbuds. A "15 days return policy" in that field means it isn't a Samsung product.
  • Check the price. Anything near ₹1,000–₹6,000 isn't a Buds4 Pro, whatever the photos show.
  • Check the box on day one. It should carry Samsung's model code SM-R640. Pair the earbuds in Samsung's Galaxy Wearable app straight away. The genuine listing offered a 10-day replacement for defective items, so if anything doesn't match, raise it inside that window.
  • Keep the case dry. The buds are IP57, but Samsung says the case isn't water-resistant and the buds aren't meant for beach or pool use.

My take

At ₹17,399, the Galaxy Buds4 Pro is the earbud I'd tell any Samsung Galaxy owner to buy this Diwali. Every reviewer above puts its sound at or near the top of its class. Two of them found it more secure or more comfortable than AirPods. And the older Buds3 Pro costs so little less that it isn't worth considering. Trakin Tech English said at launch that it would become a great deal once the price fell, and at ₹5,600 under launch I agree.

What I don't like is how it's being sold. A ₹29,999 MRP makes a 24% cut look like 42%. And the same search results carry ₹999 listings that borrow Samsung's exact product name. People typing that long listing title into Google this week are exactly the shoppers who could end up with a ₹999 lookalike. If you take a lot of calls, also weigh what the reviewers said about the mics: good on a Samsung phone, but not at the AirPods Pro 3's level.

Buy it if: you use a Galaxy S, Z, A or M phone or a Galaxy Tab, you care about sound, and you don't need more than about six hours with ANC in one go. Buy the Samsung-branded listing at ₹17,399 or lower, and use an SBI card if the checkout shows a real discount.

Skip it if: you use an iPhone (get AirPods), you use another Android brand (OnePlus Buds Pro 3 at ₹12,690 is the cheaper, better-matched pick per Trakin Tech English), or you need long battery life for flights and full workdays (the 6 Months Later reviewer points to the Sony WF-1000XM6 and Pixel Buds Pro 2).

Don't buy: the Buds3 Pro at ₹15,944, or any "Earbuds for Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro" listing at any price.

I haven't used the Galaxy Buds4 Pro myself. This verdict is built on Samsung's published specs, the live Amazon and Samsung-store listings on 19 October, and the four reviewers credited above.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of the Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro in India today?

At about 2:45 PM IST on 19 October 2026, the genuine Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro was ₹17,399 on Amazon in Black and White, sold by Clicktech Retail. Samsung's own India store listed it at ₹22,999, the launch price from February 2026. The Amazon listing also showed up to ₹3,000 off with SBI cards, depending on the card and terms.

Are the ₹999 Galaxy Buds4 Pro listings on Amazon real?

No. Listings titled 'Earbuds for Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro' at ₹999–₹1,949 copy Samsung's product title, but the one we opened named its brand as 'shopsticckly', its model as 'SMNG BUSDS SET7920', its country of origin as India and its warranty as a 15-day return policy. The genuine product is Samsung's model SM-R640, made in Vietnam, with a 1-year Samsung warranty, and it costs around ₹17,000 or more.

Should I buy the Galaxy Buds3 Pro or the Buds4 Pro?

On 19 October the Buds3 Pro was ₹15,944 on Amazon and the Buds4 Pro ₹17,399, a gap of ₹1,455. Mike O'Brien, who compared them, found the Buds4 Pro better on sound, about 1–2 dB better on low-frequency noise cancellation, and better on mics, thanks to 16 kHz super-wideband calls. He'd only buy the older pair at a big discount. At a ₹1,455 gap, get the Buds4 Pro.

Do the Galaxy Buds4 Pro work with an iPhone?

Yes, as ordinary Bluetooth earbuds. Marques Brownlee tested them on an iPhone. Play/pause, volume swipes and the ANC/ambient switch still work, but the Samsung app features, including the 9-band EQ, aren't available. If you use an iPhone, earbuds made for the iPhone are the better buy.

What is the battery life of the Galaxy Buds4 Pro?

Samsung rates it at up to 6 hours of music with ANC on (26 hours with the case) and 7 hours with ANC off (30 hours with the case). 6 Months Later's reviewer called battery life the biggest downside after six months of use, because the AirPods Pro 3, Sony WF-1000XM6 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 are all rated at 8 hours with ANC on.
