Netflix releases on October 23 (नेटफ्लिक्स)
1. Gajab Raat (Hindi)
This is the Hindi release of the day, and it's behind most of the "नेटफ्लिक्स" searches this week. Gajab Raat is a crime thriller that takes place over one night. Manoj Bajpayee plays Ajay Dixit, a corrupt cop. Ritesh Shah directs, Neeraj Pandey produces, and the cast includes Nushrratt Bharuccha, Saqib Saleem and Divya Dutta. Netflix's own press release confirms the October 23 date.
Why the name changed: The film was first called Ghooskhor Pandat. After people called that title casteist, an FIR was filed and a petition in the Delhi High Court asked for the film to be banned. Netflix then renamed it Gajab Raat. The story and cast are the same.
2. Dorothy (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi)
Dorothy is Karthik Subbaraj's 10th film. It's a crime drama starring Keerthy Suresh, with music by Ilaiyaraaja. It premiered at TIFF on September 11 and opened in theatres on September 25. The Week and DT Next both report a Netflix premiere on October 23 in five languages. Esquire India, however, says the date is not confirmed. Check Netflix's "Coming Soon" row or search the title in the app before you plan your evening around it.
3. Lupin Part 4
Omar Sy is back as gentleman thief Assane Diop. The new part streams in French and English, with Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubs for Indian viewers.

Prime Video: Chaar Yaar (Hindi)
Chaar Yaar is an 8-episode Hindi crime drama directed by Vinay Waikul. The cast mixes newer and familiar faces: Purav Jha, Sai Tamhankar, Sikandar Kher and Chunky Panday. The Paradise OTT release date: October 22 on Netflix
A lot of people searching for October 23 are really looking for Nani's film. The Paradise starts streaming on Netflix on October 22, 2026, about four weeks after its September 24 theatrical release. This is also behind the Telugu "ఓటీటీ" searches this week.
- Languages: Telugu original, plus Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi dubs.
- Director: Srikanth Odela (SLV Cinemas production), with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
- Cast: Nani, Kayadu Lohar, Mohan Babu as the villain, Sonali Kulkarni and Raghav Juyal.
- Setting: A struggling tribe in 1980s Secunderabad.
- Box office: Reports differ. Telangana Today calls the run lukewarm, while Deccan Chronicle says it "did decent business." Neither published figures.
Uncut version? Fans are asking whether Netflix will restore scenes cut from the theatrical version. Nothing so far confirms an extended or uncut OTT cut, so expect the theatrical version unless Netflix announces otherwise.
Don't confuse it with Paradise (2026), an unrelated English/French film that premiered at Berlin.
What about Sony LIV?
We couldn't find any major Sony LIV original dated October 23. The big Sony LIV news this week is a distribution deal. From October 21, Prime Video India offers Sony LIV as an add-on subscription.
- Price: ₹399 a month or ₹1,499 a year.
- How to get it: Open Prime Video, go to the add-on subscriptions or channels section, choose Sony LIV, pick monthly or yearly billing, and confirm. Sony LIV content then shows up inside the Prime Video app.
Sony LIV's main October original so far is Eyes, a Malayalam psychological thriller released on October 9.
VisionQuest (Marvel): no new episode on October 23
If you came here looking for Marvel's VisionQuest, there's no new episode on Friday. The 8-episode Disney+ miniseries stars Paul Bettany as Vision and James Spader as Ultron. It holds 90% on Rotten Tomatoes from 77 critics and 64 on Metacritic.
