Jio IPO: reported price band, dates and how much one lot will cost you
Jio Platforms is reported to have set a price band of ₹1,065–1,119 a share, with bidding from 21 to 23 October. None of it is official until the red herring prospectus is filed. Here's what is confirmed, what is only reported, and the maths for one lot.
TL;DRThe short version
- Reported price band: ₹1,065–1,119 a share. Subscription is reported for 21–23 Oct and listing for 28 Oct. The RHP has not been filed yet, so none of this is official.
- Confirmed in the draft prospectus: a fresh issue of up to 27 crore shares with no offer-for-sale. Most of the money will go towards repaying debt linked to Reliance Jio Infocomm.
- If the lot is 13 shares (shown on IPO Watch, unconfirmed), one lot costs about ₹14,547 at the upper price. Try other numbers in our IPO lot calculator.
- Track the official issue dates and final terms on NSE's upcoming issues page: nseindia.com/market-data/all-upcoming-issues-ipoOnce the RHP is filed, the price band and lot size published there are the ones that count.

What is actually confirmed
These points come from the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) dated 19 June 2026, which is published on SEBI's website:
- The IPO is a fresh issue of up to 27 crore equity shares of face value ₹10. There is no offer-for-sale, so Reliance Industries, Meta's Jaadhu Holdings and Google International aren't selling any shares.
- The shares will list on BSE and NSE.
- The price band and minimum bid lot will be announced at least two working days before the issue opens.
CNBC-TV18 reports that SEBI issued its final observations on the draft on 28 August, which clears the way for the IPO. According to ET, most of the proceeds will go towards repaying debt linked to Reliance Jio Infocomm, the telecom arm.

An earlier ET report, cited by Outlook Money, put the band at ₹1,150–1,220. The latest reports say ₹1,065–1,119. Our calculator lets you check both.
At about $3.8 billion, Reuters says this would be India's biggest IPO, ahead of Hyundai Motor India's $2.9 billion listing in 2024.
How much will one lot cost?
The official lot size isn't known yet. IPO Watch's listing shows 13 shares, but treat that as a placeholder until the RHP is filed.
| If one lot is 13 shares | At ₹1,065 | At ₹1,119 |
|---|---|---|
| 1 lot (13 shares) | ₹13,845 | ₹14,547 |
| 5 lots (65 shares) | ₹69,225 | ₹72,735 |
Retail individual investors can bid up to ₹2 lakh under SEBI's rules. At ₹1,119 a share and 13 shares a lot, that works out to 13 lots (₹1,89,111). If you bid at the cut-off price, the upper-band amount is blocked in your bank account through UPI-ASBA, and anything not used is released after allotment.
Use the IPO lot calculator to change the band, the lot size or the number of lots.
RIL shareholders: is there a quota?
A portion of the issue is expected to be reserved for eligible Reliance Industries shareholders, ET reports. Under SEBI rules, a shareholder reservation can be up to 10% of the issue. The exact size, and the date by which you need to hold RIL shares to qualify, will be in the RHP. Until then, ignore any "record date" you see shared on social media.
A word on "GMP"
Searches for "upcoming ipo gmp" are rising too. The grey market premium is an unofficial, unregulated figure traded informally before listing. SEBI, the exchanges and the company don't publish it, and it isn't a reliable guide to listing prices. We don't report a GMP figure for Jio.
What Jio brings to the market
According to media reports citing the draft documents, Jio reported revenue of about ₹1.46 lakh crore and a consolidated profit of ₹30,049 crore for FY26, and had more than 524 million customers as of March 2026. Reliance held about 66.4% of Jio Platforms at the time of the draft filing, Meta's Jaadhu Holdings 9.98% and Google International 7.73%.
We will update this page when the RHP is filed and the price band and lot size become official.
