Searches for the Ramayana trailer exploded this morning as fan accounts on X circulated dates for a second trailer. The makers haven't announced one. What they have confirmed: Part 1 releases worldwide on 5 November, in five languages and IMAX, and advance bookings open on Dussehra.

Why everyone is searching "Ramayana trailer" today
On Sunday 11 October, the first day of Navratri, the makers unveiled a new ensemble poster with the line "Yeh Ram Ke Yug Ka Aarambh Hai". They also announced that Part 1 opens worldwide on 5 November and that bookings start on Dussehra (The Hindu/PTI).
That set off a wave of date-guessing. By Tuesday morning, fan and box-office tracker accounts on X were posting schedules for a second song, a second trailer and pre-sales. Some say trailer 2 comes on 15 October, others say 20 or 22 October. None of these come from producer Namit Malhotra, director Nitesh Tiwari or the film's official handles, and we found no major outlet confirming any of them. Treat them as rumours until the makers post a date.

Fact Clips sold as leaked trailers have gone viral before. In July, Times Now's Zoom checked one that circulated after the Pratham Sankalp event in Delhi and found it was AI-generated. The official trailer has been public since 30 July.

Myth Ramayana releases on Diwali day.
Fact Part 1 releases on Thursday 5 November, three days before Diwali (Sunday 8 November). Part 2 is set for Diwali 2027.
What we know about the film
Ramayana is a two-part adaptation. Part 1 is expected to end with Sita's abduction, leaving the rescue and the war for Part 2 (Variety). Ranbir Kapoor plays Ram, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, Yash plays Ravana, Ravie Dubey plays Lakshman and Sunny Deol plays Hanuman. Hans Zimmer and A R Rahman composed the music.
Variety reports the two films are budgeted at about $500 million together. Dharma Productions will distribute in the Hindi-speaking market and Sony Pictures will handle the release outside India.
The first trailer premiered at San Diego Comic-Con and went online worldwide on 30 July at 4:15 AM IST, a slot the makers picked for Brahma Muhurat, after a postponement from 24 July (Moneycontrol).
