Air purifier on rent: monthly prices compared for Delhi NCR, and when renting beats buying

Short answer: you can rent an air purifier in Delhi from about ₹400 a month on Rentomojo (Honeywell Air Purifier V2) or ₹499–₹799 a month on Breezo across Delhi, Gurugram and Noida, plus a refundable deposit of one month's rent. For a single winter, rent; if you'll stay in the same home for years, buying usually works out cheaper.

We read each price from the service's own Delhi pricing page at about 7:55 PM IST on 18 October 2026. Prices, stock and serviceable pincodes change, so confirm at checkout.

How we compared

• Only listed prices. Every figure is from the rental company's own page, not a reseller or estimate.
• Same city. We used Delhi pages so the prices are comparable; Breezo also covers Gurugram and Noida.
• What we looked at: monthly rent by tenure, room coverage and filter type, the deposit, what's included, and the early-exit penalty.
• What we didn't do: we didn't rent or test these machines, or measure their air output.

Air purifier rental prices compared

Rentomojo's table shows three prices for the Honeywell V2 (₹406, ₹402, ₹397) and no 3-month price; its page text confirms ₹406 on 12 months and ₹397 on 36 months, so ₹402 is likely the 24-month rate.

The options, one by one

1. Honeywell Air Purifier V2 on Rentomojo: cheapest for a bedroom

At ₹397–₹406 a month (36- and 12-month plans), it's the lowest price we found. Rentomojo lists 388 sq ft coverage, an H13 HEPA plus activated-carbon filter and a CADR of 250 m³/h, and suggests it for a master bedroom.

2. Cuckoo G-Tool on Rentomojo: small room or study

₹605 a month on 3 months, ₹514 on 12 months or longer, for 335 sq ft. Rentomojo suggests it for a single bedroom or study.

3. Cuckoo B-Tool on Rentomojo: living room or open plan

The biggest coverage on the list at 700 sq ft, for ₹1,129–₹1,330 a month. Rentomojo pitches it for a living-dining or open-plan room.

4. Dyson TP10 on Rentomojo: premium pick

₹1,880–₹2,398 a month for 300–400 sq ft with an H13 HEPA filter. You're paying for the brand; the Honeywell covers a similar room for about a fifth of the rent.

5. Breezo Core 300: all-inclusive, short plans

Breezo lists one model, the Core 300 with a True H13 HEPA filter, across Delhi, Gurugram and Noida. Plans run ₹799 (3 months), ₹699 (6), ₹649 (9), ₹599 (12) and ₹499 a month (18 months). It says installation, filter replacements and servicing are included with "zero extra costs", plus a refundable deposit of one month's rent.

The fine print: deposits, lock-ins, early exit

• Deposit: one month's rent on both, refundable. Rentomojo says it refunds within 7 days of the final quality check.
• Early exit (Rentomojo): a pre-closure fee of 1–2 months' rent, based on your original tenure. It's waived once you've completed the full tenure minus one month.
• Delivery (Rentomojo): 48–72 hours after order confirmation, with online KYC (selfie and PAN).
• Upgrades and moving (Rentomojo): upgrade after 6 months; free relocation within Delhi and to its other serviceable cities.

Rent or buy?

• Rent if you're in a rented flat, may move within 2–3 years, or only want cover for the smog months. Servicing and repairs are included.
• Buy if you're staying put. Rentomojo itself says buying suits permanent addresses. Budget for a replacement filter roughly every year (check the brand's guidance for your model).
• Size first, brand second. Match the coverage or CADR to your room; an undersized purifier in a big room won't keep up.

Before you sign up

• Check that your pincode is serviceable on the checkout page.
• Ask whether filter replacement is included on your plan (Breezo says yes; Rentomojo says filters are inspected and replaced "as required" before delivery).
• Note the date your tenure ends, so you can return it on time and avoid paying for months you don't need.
• Pick a tenure that covers the worst months. Under CAQM's GRAP schedule, restrictions in NCR start once the AQI crosses 200 ("poor").
